Integrity
We pride ourselves on our commitment to integrity and to being a business partner our clients can trust.
RVK strives to deliver objective, informed, and unbiased advice. In order to properly serve our clients we must sit on the same side of the table as our clients. Our advice must be free of conflicts of interest and even the appearance of bias. We do not service any investment manager or brokerage firm that does business in the United States; we focus solely on the consulting needs of our broad and varied client base.
We believe that the only way to deliver unbiased advice is to structure our firm to eliminate all conflicts of interest:
- 100% of our revenues are in the form of direct cash payments from our clients in return for services rendered. We accept no payments from investment management firms doing business in the United States for any reason.
- We accept no gifts, perks, or other gratuities from investment managers or other firms.
- We recommend investment managers solely on the merits of their investment products, nothing else. We do not charge investment managers to be a part of our databases or to be eligible for recommendation to our clients. We do not allow investment managers to sponsor client conferences.
- Our firm maintains a comprehensive code of ethics to which all employees must adhere.
- We will not engage in any activity or line of business that might create potential conflicts of interest.
- We remain independently owned by employees.
- We know that the continued viability of our business depends, first and foremost, on how effectively we meet the needs of our clients.
As a privately held company, with no affiliates or parent company, we are more sensitive to our reputation than to the bottom line of the company. Credibility is fundamental to our continued success. The firm focuses on the client's best interests when shaping the solutions it proposes. Accountability is a core value at RVK, and our seventeen principals each has an owner's point of view on client satisfaction.
The Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Labor recently advised Pension plan sponsors to ask certain questions of their investment consultants. We invite you to read our response to this list of questions, as well as our internal Code of Ethics.
You can be assured that while you work with RVK, you will not have to question our financial incentives or loyalties.
